Donnie Trump Jnr’s July speaking tour to Australia has been cancelled, or postponed, depending on which side of the fence you sit.

Shame that.

Referring to Donald Trump Jnr as a bigot, a petition to block his visa was signed by other 22 000 people. The Australian Home Affairs Minister called him a big baby in a Tweet which has now been deleted after Nigel Farage castigated her. Trump’s promoter Turning Point Australia claims that cancel culture is to blame and that Trump’s (Sub-Class 408: 6 months) visa was issued too late, while those outside the entourage say that the tour was postponed due to poor ticket sales.

The offending Tweet: “Geez, Donald Trump Jr is a bit of a sore loser. His dad lost an election fair and square — but he says it was stolen. Now he’s trying to blame the Australian government for his poor ticket sales and cancelled tour,.”

“Donald Trump Jr has been given a visa to come to Australia. He didn’t get cancelled. He’s just a big baby, who isn’t very popular.”

Many more than 22 000 Australians object to Trump’s visit, which was advertised as an effort to advise Australians about the dangers of wokeness. Yes, we need his help to understand rightwing politics because we remain colonials, subject to fads and fake facts, likely to wander off the path into the land of ethics, compassion and common sense.
