I was sad to read about the conditions in which you farewelled your mother. It was so well written, I felt I was there.

My aunt was diagnosed with 'depression-induced dementia'- twenty years ago and went downhill in six months. The experience of talking to someone close to you, who no longer knows your name is daunting.
